Indeed.com: Essentials to Work
Indeed’s Essentials to Work program launched in 2022 to support job seekers facing employment barriers by providing free access to tech devices, transportation, and legal support for record clearing. While not currently active in Connecticut, many of its partner organizations—like PC’s for People, Lyft, Goodwill, and Legal Aid Society—do operate locally.
This initiative has enabled thousands of individuals to create resumes, complete interviews, and access job readiness resources. The program offers a strong example for local replication and highlights the role of tech and legal support in bridging gaps for Second Chance job seekers.
