 Workforce Development: CareerConneCT

Connecticut’s CareerConneCT initiative was created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to help unemployed and underemployed residents, especially those from historically marginalized communities, get back into the workforce.

Funded by the state and operated through regional workforce development boards and community organizations, CareerConneCT offers industry-specific training and certification programs. These efforts aim to build a consistent pipeline of talent—including Second Chance candidates—for employers facing worker shortages.
