Career Resources, Inc. (CRI) is one of Connecticut’s leading workforce development nonprofits, serving job seekers and employers across the state. CRI specializes in helping individuals with significant barriers, including those with criminal records, gain skills, find employment, and build sustainable career paths.

CRI is a strong advocate for Second Chance Hiring and backs its efforts with data: employing 100 formerly incarcerated individuals at $15/hour can save Connecticut $9 million annually in incarceration costs and generate $3.6 million in taxes. CRI also highlights that employment significantly reduces recidivism—from 50% to just 5%—making a clear business and public safety case for hiring justice-involved individuals.
