Unified School District #1 (USD #1)
Established in 1969, USD #1 is the dedicated school district within the DOC, offering comprehensive education to incarcerated individuals across Connecticut. USD #1 provides academic instruction, life skills, and vocational training in a positive and inclusive environment. Its mission is to prepare individuals for lifelong learning, successful employment, and community reintegration.
