The Manufacturing Institute: Community Partnership Scorecard
The Manufacturing Institute, an affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers, promotes Second Chance Hiring as part of its diversity and workforce development efforts. It developed a Community Partnership Scorecard to help employers identify and evaluate high-quality reentry partners.
This tool outlines key criteria—like training capabilities, support services, and employment preparation—that employers should consider when forming community partnerships. While no organization will meet every benchmark, the scorecard helps businesses think strategically about what they need from a partner to support successful hiring and retention of justice-impacted individuals.
